Dr. Lawrence has lived and practiced in McKinney since 1999. He had previously been in solo practice in Holiday Island, Arkansas. He is happily married to Cheryl. They have been married for 17 years. They are high school sweet hearts and were married in college. They have two wonderful children, Sarah age 13 is in the 7th grade and Samuel age 11 is in the 5th grade. The family are active members of First United Methodist Church of McKinney. Traveling and family activities are the priority of their personal lives.

Doctor of the Day : 2005, 2006, 2007Dr. Lawrence participates yearly in the Doctor of the Day program at the Legislature for the State of Texas in Austin. The program is sponsored by the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Lawrence provides care for legislators, their families, their staff, state employees at the capitol, and all visitors to the Capitol at the Capital Clinic when he is there. The Doctor of the Day is officially acknowledged in the House and Senate during their proceedings.

Dr. Lawrence is the founding Medical Director for CCHC. He has been an active volunteer until 2006. He started the subspecialty Diabetes clinic and staffed it until his resignation in 2006.
